DeLinn Payne and her family moved to Waco and the China Spring ISD community in 2021 from Argyle, Texas. She and her husband Jeff have been married for 25 years and have two sons—Jackson, a 2023 graduate of China Spring ISD, and Hudson, a current sophomore at China Spring High School.
DeLinn joined the China Spring ISD Education Foundation Board in January 2025 and currently serves as Vice President of Marketing & Events. A former elementary school teacher, she spent 15 years in the classroom teaching 1st and 2nd grades before transitioning into a variety of entrepreneurial and volunteer roles.
Today, she owns a home staging business, works as a transaction coordinator for real estate agents in Kansas City, and manages marketing and social media for local businesses. She’s also deeply involved in the community—she has served as a PTO and PTA President, is on the decorating team for the Central Texas Cattle Barons Ball, and currently serves as Secretary and Treasurer of the Austin Colony Property Owners Association. She also serves as the Vice President of the China Spring Band Boosters.
