Cory Viertel

Cory is a member of the CSISD Education Foundation Board and has a strong passion for serving others and supporting his community. He grew up in Cranfills Gap, Texas, and graduated from Clifton High School in 1998. Cory earned his Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics from Texas A&M University, Class of ’02.
Cory and his wife, Amy, have been married since 2003. Amy serves as a special education teacher at China Spring Middle School, and together they are raising their two children, Grady and Grace, in the China Spring community they value deeply.
Professionally, Cory works as a Quality Supervisor at Purina Animal Nutrition in Clifton. He also owns and operates a cow/calf operation and serves as an insurance broker with Greater Waco Insurance Solutions, bringing a strong work ethic and diverse professional experience to his roles.
Cory is actively involved in the community and his parish, St. Philip Catholic Church, where he serves as Grand Knight of the St. Philip Knights of Columbus Council #17224. In addition to his service with the CSISD Education Foundation, Cory is involved with the China Spring Band Boosters and serves as Co-Trailer Manager for the Band Roadies, proudly driving the band’s 18-wheeler to football games and competitions.
Outside of work and service, Cory and his family enjoy spending time outdoors, cooking together, volunteering, and tackling projects as a family. They are proud supporters of China Spring ISD and love cheering on the Cougars. Cory is deeply grateful for the China Spring community and the exceptional school district that has provided his children with a supportive environment and outstanding educational opportunities.
